While the coffee beans themselves may look pretty similar, the tastes that develop from the brewed drink are subtle and delightful  and very different. Based on a variety of conditions, coffee beans can have a range of flavors and smells once the brewing process is complete. Robusta Coffee

Robusta coffee is the second most popular drinking coffee in the world, with beans that are primarily raised in sub-Saharan Africa and Vietnam. More than 40 percent of the world’s coffee is from the Robusta family; it is primarily used in instant coffee and espresso blends. Robusta beans tend to impart a bitter, almost peanutty aftertaste to coffee with earthy undertones. For this reason, Robusta is often used in blends to create a depth of flavor. Robusta beans contain significantly more caffeine and less sugar than Arabica and is said to taste harsher to many palates. Robusta can also be found growing in Central and South America.

As the most popular type of coffee in the world, Arabica has a milder flavor than Robusta. Primarily farmed from the highlands of Ethiopia and in South America, Arabica coffee tends to have a slightly sweet flavor that is a bit more acidic than Robusta.
